Frida Kahlo: Viva la Vida

Frida Kahlo is one of the most visually iconic artists of all time, and her art continues to resonate with people across the globe. She is so recognisable that we sometimes forget to look into her story — to find out who she really was, and why she became one of the most remarkable female artists in art history. Living her life in constant, agonising pain, this firecracker of a woman had power, determination and astonishing resilience — but she was also a disruptor. A feminist icon, a campaigner for indigenous rights and much more, Frida’s fire spills out into her radical and empowering paintings.

This won’t be a conventional event. Frida’s defiant story will be brought to life through live music and poetry woven between the art historical narrative.  Expect fantastic food and drink by LoLo House, and great company among like-minded souls who love art, stories and a life lived boldly.
